Il
mio caro e vecchio kenwood TS140s mi ha accompagnato durante tutta la
mia avventura radioamatoriale fin dalla metà degli anni 90 quando
ancora non avevo la patente di radioamatore.
Lascio volutamente le caratteristiche tecniche e le performance agli specialisti del settore per parlare dell'aspetto puramente pratico di questa radio. Considerando che l'ho portata sia in barra mobile sia in montagna nello zaino posso con certezza dire che è una radio robustissima sia per quanto riguarda la sua struttura esterna sia per la circuiteria. Innumerevoli sono infatti stati i colpi che ha dovuto subire e le antenne disaccordare che ha dovuto digerire. Non si è mai fuso un finale nonostante abbia subito numerevoli picchi di ROS dovuti soprattutto ad un'errato montaggio delle antenne durante le attività all'aperto. Ancora oggi è la radio che preferisco usare considerando anche la facilità di utilizzo dovuta al fatto che tutti i comandi del pannello frontale sono dedicati ad un'unica funzione senza i fastidiosi sottomenù presenti ormai in tutte le radio moderne. |

dear and old kenwood TS140s has accompanied me throughout my amateur
radio adventure since the mid-90s when I still not had the amateur
radio license. I deliberately leave the technical characteristics and performances to the sector specialists to talk about the practical aspect of this radio. Considering that I have brought it mobile activity and in the backpack on mountains I can with certainty say that radio is a very strong both in its external structure for the circuitry. Countless have been the shots that had to suffer and bad disagree antennas had to digest. It had suffered numerous peaks of ROS mainly due to incorrect installation of the antennas during outdoor activities. Even today it is the radio I prefer to use considering the ease of use due to the fact that all front panel controls are dedicated to a single operation without the annoying submenu now present in all modern radio. |

questa radio non debba mai mancare tra quelle di un radioamatore che
come me ama portarsi la radio ovunque. Di questo apparato mi piace la versatilità, la leggerezza e il fatto di avere HF,50 MHz, VHF e UHF in così poco spazio. Unico neo sono i sottomenù che col tempo risultano difficili da ricordare soprattutto se non li si usa spesso. |

think all amateur radio that like me loves to bring
the radio everywhere must have this radio. Of this equipment I like the versatility, lightness, and the fact of having HF, 50 MHz, VHF and UHF in so little space but I don't like submenus that over time are difficult to remember especially if they are not used frequently. |

innumerevoli le cose degne di nota che riguardano questo splendido
apparato QRP dedicato interamente alla telegrafia. Prima di tutto stiamo parlando di un kit e la cosa è notevole considerando che ,dopo parecchio impegno per la sua costruzione, il risultato è un apparato quadribanda completo di filtri , accordatore automatico e pacco batterie stilo!! I filtri sono paragonabili a quelli dei più blasonati apparati commerciali e permettono di isolare un segnale CW e tirarlo fuori dal pile up più duro! L'accordatore automatico risulta essere uno strumento indispensabile e permette la trasmissione anche utilizzando antenne di fortuna. Il pacco batterie permette l'utilizzo con normalissime pile stilo e, considerando il bassissimo consumo di questa radio, assicura un lungo periodo di attività senza ulteriore alimentazione. are many things worthy of note concerning this wonderful QRP equipment
entirely dedicated to telegraphy. First of all we are talking about a kit and what is remarkable considering that, after considerable effort for its construction, the result is a four band radio with fliters, automatic tuner and battery pack! The filters are comparable to those of the commercial radi and they can isolate a CW signal in a hard the pile up ! The automatic tuner is an indispensable tool and also allows the transmission with bad antennas . accolto il Perseus con molta curiosità dato che molti considerano
questi SDR (Software Definited Radio) il futuro per quello che concerne
gli apparati radio. Software Definited Radio vuol dire Radio definita dal software ossia una radio che ha bisogno di un computer per poter funzionare. Il Perseus è un ricevitore SDR sviluppato da un italiano, Nico Palermo IV3NWV, dalle prestazioni eccellenti. Con i suoi filtri si riescono a tirare fuori dal rumore anche i segnali più deboli, si può monitorare contemporaneamente una parte di banda addirittura di 1600 KHz e con la sua modalità waterfall i segnali si vedono a video e trovarli diventa un gioco da ragazzi. Pregevole è anche la possibilità di registrare un'intera parte di banda per poi poterci navigare all'interno come se fosse on air in quel momento! Veramente notevole!
