I
mmediately after starting RufzXP
one has the impression of having a professional platform dedicated to
who are learning CW or to skilled people looking for an effective way
to improve.
RufzXP allows you to chose
four training modes:
- Toplist
- Trainer
- Contest
- HST
Toplist
mode
This mode
allows you to train oneself to listen random amateur radio
calls from a speed set by the user.
The speed in words per minute (WPM) increases by 1 in case of correct
call and decreased by 1 in case of a wrong call.
This mode is very interesting because it allows you to partecipate to
the liderboard, divided by age, on www.rufzxp.org site.
Recommended for those who makes contests and needs to catch complex
calls.
Trainer
mode
This
is an interesting mode specifically designed to enable yourself with
letters, numbers and abbreviations often used in radiotelegraphy.
After
selecting this mode you can access a variety of settings by selecting Settings F11.
As
for the countless possibilities that this mode offers, I invite you to
read the guide (F1).
Contest
mode
The free
contest mode is implemented in order to let anyone create his own
personalized contest model. The high possibility of configuration of
this mode allows modifying every aspect of a contest: number of calls
per attempt, percentage of slashed callsigns to be transmitted, number
of attempts allowed for each participant, separated scoreboards and,
above all, selection of personalized callbases.
If
received callsign was right, next transmission speed will increase of 1
WPM, and vice versa, if callsign was wrong, speed will decrease of 1 WPM
Scores obtained during
this mode are not eligible for International RufzXP Toplist.
HST
mode
HST
(acronym for High Speed Telegraphy)
is one of the official tests performed during the IARU HST
championships.
This mode requires 2 attempts per user, 50 calls (5 complex and 45
simple) according to the rules of the IARU HST Championships.
For
a correct and appropiate use of the program I suggest you to to

1000 CPM
Sept 21st
2007
Belgrad
(Serbia)
In a special RufzXP competition at the IARU High Speed Telegraphy World
Championships seven competitors attempted to crack speed 1000 cpm.
And even two of them finally did it! And two more copied callsign(s)
with only one character wrong.
Under
the supervision of official IARU RufzXP referees Mathias Kolpe,
DL4MM, and Tomáš Mikeska, OK2BFN, and other spectators
both Goran Hajoševic,
YT7AW, and Fabian
Kurz, DJ1YFK, managed to copy
at least one out of 50 callsigns at CW speed 1000 cpm (200 wpm) without
any errors.
But
the winner of the keyer donated by DL4MM and IV3XYM was Goran
Hajoševic, YT7AW, because he
needed less (7) callsigns than Fabian (23).
